Electric fireplaces and mantels are a great way to add a non-permanent focal point to any room. They work great in living rooms and bedrooms, plus they are so fun to decorate.
After you add a fireplace or mantel let’s get to decorating it: Spring Mantel Decor, Christmas Mantel Ideas, Thanksgiving Mantels, and even Back to School Mantel Decor.

Styling and Decorating
These design ideas are with actual fireplaces, but the designs and ideas still work with an electric fireplace. ANd will get the design ideas going!
This is a cool idea for hiding a TV over a fireplace. I also like adding vases, these are on the side, but they would go great on top of a modern mantel.
Compliment built-ins or faux built-ins with a fireplace. Style the shelves and the top of the mantel similarly. A TV or a beautiful piece of art is a great way to bring together a mantel.
Another example of a TV, the other great idea from this space is to add an electric fireplace in front of a feature wall. IT would create a similar look to this living room.
Simply add a framed piece of art on top of a mantel for a more minimalist decor look. Add freestanding shelves on either side for more design elements.
Or rather than a piece of art of TV, add a mirror. This round mirror looks great with a white fireplace. Add a couple of candles on top of the mantel to finish off the look.
Another way to use a mirror, place it on the mantel and use a unique shape with an arched top to draw the eye up!
